Steve Ochs (pronounced Oaks), then working as Steve O. (pronounced Oh!), rode the standup comedy wave of the 80’s and 90’s, touring clubs and making numerous television appearances. His bookings were bolstered by a couple of Star Search wins, one of which led to a re-match on a Howard Stern pay-per-view special. The highpoint of his standup career was having his idol Richard Pryor call him, “One funny motherfucker."
